So, this is the end of a purchase decision that I made ages ago and slowly came to regret as time went on. It all started with a steam sale and some cheap Lego games, I picked three of them up, one for Marvel, another for LoTR and a final one about the Lego movie that had recently come out. I loved the Marvel one, tolerated the LoTR one and 100%'ed it and I was barely able to make it through the Lego movie game.
I don't really care to list the published and developer at this point, because I just want to be rid of this review. If you want a full review you can find it at either one of these two reviews. Here or here.
The Lego movie game like every other game in the Lego videogame franchise, it is a children's game. This isn't me trying to insult the game, there is nothing wrong with making a kids game. I'm just stating that its a very simple game in terms of gameplay and narrative and that as a whole its a very shallow experience. Yes, it looks nice enough, the quirks and jokes are fairly amusing. However, outside of this being a bonding experience that you could play with a young relative that is ten years old or younger its pretty worthless.
