Darkest Dungeon is a rouge-like indie game that would teach you the meaning of difficult by continuously beating the shit out of you. So many times I got out of unbelievably difficult fights, then see my whole party, one after the other, die of heart attack. DD has an amazing Lovecraftian atmosphere, punishing, difficulty, great art and game mechanics that will keep you coming back and die again and again.

Deus Ex is easily one of the best stealth games, but what's great about Deus Ex is how the developers made the game mechanics and implemented them with amazing level design. The game give the player the freedom to how to approach the world, in both narrative and gameplay; you have the choice to sneak your way in, or go guns blazing. You can convince an enemy to give up, or take him down by force.

X-COM 2 is one of the best games in its genre, and you can't find another strategy RPG with the same great quality as X-COM. The game surpass its predecessor in almost ever single aspect; the mechanics are more fleshed-out, the upgrade tree is more balanced and exciting, the enemies variety never cease to end nor stop challenging you.

DOOM It's been a long time since I enjoined a single player FPS game. And thankfully doom came out, and it's better than ever. The game features amazing guns, in both feel and mechanics, the enemies are just balls-out fun to play with and the mechanics and fluidity of the game just wraps up this great package into one hell of a ride.

Street Fighter V in spite of a rocky release, SFV was praised by the core fans. The new engine, gameplay mechanics, characters all came together wonderfully in what feels like a great evolution from SFIV. Furthermore, the game was released back in March, but it still has great support with new content of characters, stages and modes to keep it fresh.
