5 Batman Arkham Knight
The last entry in the Arkham series, Rocksteady finished the trilogy with a bang. Arkham Knight brings the quality from Arkham Asylum and the quantity from Arkham City.
4The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
An open world role-playing game at it's best. The Witcher 3 is a grand-epic in both scale and narrative. The writing is top notch, the world is every RPG fantasy fan's wet dream. The only hindering aspect of the game is its weak battle mechanics.
3SOMA
Sci-fi narrative at it's best. SOMA explores the idea of the human consciousness living without the physical body. The game lacks strong gameplay mechanic, but still the narrative was strong enough to earn the game a place in the list.
2Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
The gameplay brought new meaning to the words "solid" and "polished". Refining the stealth genre in an open world setting, MGSV brings a whole new level of freedom in its sandbox with the usual great narrative.
1Bloodborne
From software brings a new IP to PlayStation, made on the same engine as the Souls games, Bloodborne almost perfects the formula. The game succeeds From soft's Souls games in almost every way. The game features a phenomenal combat engine, beautiful aesthetics, relentless difficulty and, of course Cthulhu.
