Snipperclips is one of those games that would test a couple's marriage. It would show how strong your communications is as it relies fully on both player's coordination.
Each player controls a character that seems to look like a piece of paper with eyes, mouth, and boots. Both are shaped like a rectangle but with one round end. Snipperclips is a puzzle game, but how you solve the puzzles is what make it interesting. At times you will be required to move a ball from one side of the screen to another. Your only tools are the shape of your characters. You use each other, or both characters, to cut each character to the shape you need so you can solve the puzzle. So, let's say you need to move a ball, and the idle shape the characters are in makes it impossible for you to pick up the ball. So, you cut the upper side of your character into the shape of a bowl and carry the ball in it.
That is the basic form of puzzles in Sinpperclips. Later on, you will face more challenging and varied puzzles. At times you will be required to cut both character's shapes to make up a shape. The game would require the both characters to make the shape of a heart or a ball, etc.
The variety is awesome in the game; the levels are split into themes like chapters. My only issue was that the levels just became harder and harder as you progressed. I believe games should always have a flow of high, low, high and low. So I found myself having difficulty coming back to the game the further I progressed.
The game's aesthetics is wonderful and simple, it reminded me of art class. All the characters are designed with cute characteristics and loads of colors. The animations compliment the art direction even further with simple but expressive animations. Every time you cut a part of your partner it will react with wonderful animations and audio.
Cleaver puzzle design.
Characters.
